As preparation for an upcoming Star Wars D6 game I’ve been making new character templates (they’ll be available at a later time) and I thought I might as well make a Star Wars 1st Edition fillable character template so other people can make their own templates as well.
What is Star Wars 1st Edition?
The Star Wars 1st Edition Roleplaying Game, often referred to simply as the Star Wars Roleplaying Game (RPG), is a tabletop roleplaying game set in the Star Wars universe. It was first published by West End Games in 1987, shortly after the release of the original Star Wars trilogy.
This RPG system was designed to allow players to immerse themselves in the rich and expansive Star Wars universe, taking on the roles of characters ranging from heroic Rebel Alliance pilots to cunning smugglers and powerful Jedi Knights. The game was notable for its comprehensive ruleset, which included detailed character creation, combat mechanics, and guidelines for gamemasters to create their own adventures within the Star Wars galaxy.
The Star Wars 1st Edition RPG used a custom game system developed by West End Games specifically for the setting. It utilized a combination of six-sided dice (referred to as D6s) to resolve actions, with character attributes and skills influencing the outcome of dice rolls. The system was praised for its simplicity and ease of use, making it accessible to both beginners and experienced roleplayers.
Throughout its publication, West End Games released numerous supplements and sourcebooks expanding upon the Star Wars universe, providing additional rules, characters, and settings for players and gamemasters to explore. The game remained popular among fans of both Star Wars and tabletop gaming until the license was acquired by Wizards of the Coast in the early 2000s, leading to the development of the Star Wars Roleplaying Game Revised Edition.
Where to get the book.
Sometimes you’ll be able to find the original books on https://www.nobleknight.com or you can get the awesome 30th Anniversary Edition from Fantasy Flight Games.
I can’t find a link to download the star wars 2st edition fillable character template.
An update messed up the the stylesheet. White buttons with white text on a white background aren’t optimal it seems xD. The button should be back in a nice visible blue color now 🙂
Sorry about the inconvenience.
I can download it now, but it is not fillable. If you plan to make it so can I suggest turning it 90 degrees, duplicating it, and making 2 on the page fillable?
